Huge summer shake-up on Emmerdale with major characters lives RUINED

EMMERDALE fans are in for shock twists and turns this Summer with storylines on health, heartbreak and the Dingles to look forward to.

Leading up to the show’s 50th anniversary, Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, spoke to the press teasing some storylines we can look forward to and what to expect.

She made clear lives may be lost as current storylines “explode” resulting in a drama-filled Summer.

Without giving too much away, Shaw explained that while we continue to follow Marlon’s recovery, there will be another major health storyline to come.

She also spoke about Jacob and Liam getting caught up in Leyla’s storyline which will include major secrets being revealed.

  • Coronation Street legend returns to the cobbles 12 years after DYING on the soap

    CORONATION Street legend Reece Dinsdale is set to return to the Cobbles 12 years after DYING on the soap.

    Reece played Joe McIntyre on the Cobbles for two years until 2010, when his character met his end trying to fake his own death in order to claim insurance money.

    The plot made headlines as it mirrored real-life canoe-man John Darwin’s antics – but hapless Joe accidentally killed himself.

    Now the star is back as a show director, more than a decade after playing Gail Platt‘s fourth husband.

    Reece wrote on Twitter: “I start #Corrie for real tomorrow. Proper grown-up meeting with the script team over in Manchester. First time I’ve been back there in twelve years!

    “Both nervous and excited. Wouldn’t have it any other way.”

    EASTENDERS hardman Jonah Tyler is meddling with the Mitchell’s – yet eagle-eyed soap fans have been hit with a sense of deja vu.

    Actor Mark Mooney has resumed his role as Phil Mitchell’s gangster acquaintance as Sam Mitchell attempts to cause trouble.

    The businesswoman – who is played by actress Kim Medcalf in the BBC soap – made her comeback to Walford earlier this week and has already ruffled a lot of feathers.

    She called a meeting with Kat and Sharon in front of Jonah – who was less than impressed by their bickering and backed out of the deal, urging them to watch their back.

    Sam later visited Jack Branning and said she would take him to court to get custody of her son unless he helped her get some dirt on Jonah.

    “I need your help Jack with a business proposition,” Sam said.

    The couple got engaged on Valentines day in 2021.

    Malandra Burrows played Kathy Glover on the loved TV show.

    From 1985 to 2001, we knew Burrows as Kathy Glover.

    Burrows announced she discovered a lump in her left breast in January which she has since had removed.

    The doctors told her it was a stage three tumour. She is now undergoing chemotherapy in a bid to get rid of the cancer.

    Many have taken to social media to share their well wishes.
